The ring, 2023

Collective memory generated the elaboration of this permanent site-specific installation. This unique space of creation and passage was a key destination for some of the most important filmmakers, producers and screenwriters of Quebec cinema, from its construction in 1958 to its reconstruction in 2017. Built on the land of Quebec's first housing cooperative, Prévert (in honour of Jacques Prévert, the poet), the Corten steel plate which reflects the shape of the territory serves as a base and guide for the white concrete ring which through its universal shape, offers an ad hoc vocabulary to cinema, humans and perpetual motion.

Private collection.
